"Several years ago, I became Chair of the Wilshire/Montana Neighborhood Coalition (Wilmont).This is a neighborhood group in Santa Monica. At the time I took over, we didn't really have a logo or functional website. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Gonen Yacov by a mutual friend. We met. I showed him what we had. We discussed Wilmont--the kind of organization it is, what the logo could be used for, and--especially--what the logo and related elements should say about us. Several days later, he emailed me about a dozen possible logos. He presented them at our next Board meeting.. Ultimately, we selected one to turn into a beautiful banner and another as our organization's logo. The logo works well by itself. Gonen also used it as the basis of our letterhead and business cards. He quickly created a "basic" look-and-feel for our website. We have implemented that look-and-feel. Later, he created a more colorful website design. We're working on some underlying conversions and look forward to implementing the new look. Gonen is easy to work with. He's a very talented artist and graphic designer. His ability to convey an identity through a logo is excellent. Our logo is flexible enough to use is a variety of situations, with colors we can easily bring into web pages or flyers.
